Minecraft horse update help

In the new 1.6.2 update mojang decided to add horses. At first even I had trouble riding the horses and putting armour on them. Here's how. You first need an empty hand (which means you aren't holding any items.) and right click on the horse a couple of times.Then, put a saddle on the horse, and get on him then you can put on the armour.
